The international matches are still going well all around, but yesterday the first players returned from the international break. It was Gavi and Torres who appeared at Tuesday’s training session, having been in action for Spain.
When the team trained yesterday under the leadership of Xavi, and once again with the players from the second team Barca Athletic, it was with Gavi and Ferran Torres as spectators. They were both back after representing Spain in two caps.
Their attendance was a signal that the international break is coming to an end for this round. Admittedly, the two Spaniards did not train with them, as they contented themselves with loosening up their muscles on an exercise bike and working out in the training room, but they will certainly be running on the track for training later today.
Here, Xavi will also get several players back from the international matches, but it won’t be until tomorrow, Thursday, that everyone is back. Only here can the Barca coach really start preparations for Sunday’s home game against Athletic Club Bilbao.
