On Wednesday afternoon, Barca could announce that Sergi Roberto has sustained an injury in the right calf muscle during today’s training. The Catalan is expected to be out for 2-3 weeks and looks set to miss El Clásico.
In a brief press release, Barca writes that Sergi Roberto had to leave Wednesday’s training session with an injury to his right calf muscle. The club does not announce anything about the injury itself or how long a break awaits the captain.
However, Catalan media believe they know that Sergi Roberto will be out for 2-3 weeks. This means he will miss El Clásico against Real Madrid on October 28, as well as the home games against Athletic Bilbao and Shakhtar Donetsk on October 22 and October 25 respectively.
Sergi Roberto thus joins an already well-filled injury list at Barca, where Balde, Koundé, Pedri, De Jong, Lewandowski and Raphinha are already without.
