It is still unknown when Barca will be able to sign Vitor Roque, but the Brazilian assures that he is taking it all quite calmly, even if he may have to wait until the summer. He is only happy to play for the club.
It is the newspaper Mundo Deportivo that caught Vitor Roque for a few comments about the upcoming transfer to Barca, a transfer that will either take place in January or this summer. What happens will depend on Barca’s financial ability under fair play rules.
‘I always had the conviction that I wanted to belong to Barca. It has always been my wish, because Barcelona has always been a dream,’ begins the 18-year-old striker.
Roque is not too concerned about whether he is going to Barcelona in January or in the summer. ‘There is a positive dialogue that it can all happen in January, but if it doesn’t work out, I’ll take it quite easy, because I’m focused on Athletico Paranaense’, he continued.
Right now, Vitor Roque is out with an injury, but that doesn’t concern him either. ‘My rehabilitation is progressing optimally and it also helps that I am very young. I expect that I will still be in action for Athletico and if the rehabilitation goes well, I think I will play,’ he said.
There has otherwise been speculation that the current injury would keep Roque out until the switch is completed in January, but right now nothing has been decided.
