Girona’s coach Michel held a press conference yesterday before the clash against Barca tonight. Here he did everything to take on the role of underdog and clearly played the favoritism over to Barca. However, he did not deny that his team can win.
“We are a very humble team and we are not at the same level, neither when it comes to our structure nor the coach. We are wrong if we think we can play equal with them. Tomorrow we have to like it on the pitch, because otherwise it will be impossible. I don’t expect to be able to dominate the match,” he began.
“We have to play a huge game and they must not be at their usual level, because otherwise it will be difficult to get anything positive home. We have to do everything 100% to have opportunities. We have to be able to play without the ball, more than we have done so far. We must also be able to play these kinds of matches” continued Michel.
“We don’t find it difficult to create anything and I think we are capable of playing a nice game, but that doesn’t mean we win the game. We have had a spectacular start to the season and nobody would have guessed that we would be where we are, but Barca have also done well,” he continued.
“If we win it will be a big step forward in quality and if we lose it will not mean that we stop fighting for everything” concluded Michel.
