Xavi has announced his starting line-up for tonight’s Champions League match against Belgian Royal Antwerp. As expected, the Barca coach chooses to let some of the reserves start in the match.
The starting lineup looks like this: Peña, Fort, Koundé, Christensen, Balde, Romeu, Sergi Roberto, Fermín, Torres Lewandowski and Yamal
On the bench are Cancelo, Araujo, Pedri, Gündogan, Felix, Raphinha, Astralaga, Alarcón, Casadó, Kochen, Cubarsí, Garrido and Guiu.
The second team’s 17-year-old Hector Fort is probably the biggest surprise and he gets the opportunity to show himself at right back. Otherwise, Xavi also offers rare playing time to Romeu and Sergi Roberto, while it has also been a while since Balde, Fermín, Torres and Yamal have started.
Somewhat surprisingly, Lewandowski starts inside. He was otherwise excluded from the squad in the first place and could probably use a break, but Xavi doesn’t want it that way.
The match is set to begin 21.00 (9 pm)
