The winter transfer window is approaching and Barca will reportedly try to sign a midfielder as a replacement for the injured Gavi. On Tuesday, agent Pini Zahavi, who represents both Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich, was spotted at meetings with Joan Laporta and Deco.
The speculation started immediately when the Israeli agent Pini Zahavi was spotted in Barcelona on Tuesday. Here, in his Twitch program Jijantes, the journalist Gerard Romero was able to show pictures of Zahavi, who at lunch met at a restaurant with Barca’s sports director, Deco, and in the evening met with Joan Laporta at the same restaurant.
The meeting between Pini Zahavi and Barca comes at a time when Robert Lewandowski is going through a difficult time in the Catalan capital, but it was not to be the Polish striker who was the main theme of Tuesday’s meetings.
According to Jijantes, there should have been talk of Joshua Kimmich, who has previously been linked to Barca, among other things. It’s no secret that Xavi wanted the German midfielder this summer as a replacement for Sergio Busquets, but a deal didn’t work out. Now the negotiations may have resumed.
The other day, Joan Laporta confirmed that they want to rent a midfielder for the rest of the season and it is not at all inconceivable that it is this desire that was discussed with Pini Zahavi on Tuesday.
