It is going well for most barça players on loan

It is going well for most barça players on loan

Barca have eight players in other clubs on loan for this season and in the Catalan club you can be happy that things are going well for the majority of them. This creates optimism about some profitable sales this summer.

Barca have loaned out Ansu Fati, Julian Araujo, Clement Lenglet, Eric García, Pablo Torre, Sergiño Dest, Alex Valle and Chadi Riad. Here is the hope for some that they can develop and return better to Barca, while others must be sold.

Here is a status of how the individual players are doing:

Ansu Fati – Brighton:
After a hesitant start, Anfi Fati began to find his rhythm at Brighton, but then he was hit by an injury that will keep him out until the spring. As a result, he does not get to take the step in his career that was hoped for in Barcelona and it is very uncertain what will happen to the striker this summer.

Julian Araujo – Las Palmas:
The Mexican right-back has seized the chance on the holiday island of Gran Canaria, where he quickly won a place in the starting line-up and is doing well. If he maintains the same level for the rest of the season, it is likely that Xavi will include him in his squad for next season.

Clement Lenglet – Aston Villa:
Lenglet has no future at Barca, so here’s hoping he shows his qualities at Aston Villa so he can bring in a transfer fee this summer. However, the playing time at Villa has been very limited and it looks difficult to get a good deal this summer.

Eric García – Girona:
The Catalan has a leading role in the seasonal surprises from Girona. García delivers at a high level and therefore it seems likely that Xavi will give him another chance next season. Alternatively, it looks like an attractive sale.

Pablo Torre – Girona:
Torre has found it difficult to find a place in Girona’s team, where the midfield works well. He has played many games as a substitute, but so far Torre has not had the opportunity to develop. It is very much unknown what his fate will be this summer.

Sergiño Dest – PSV Eindhoven:
The American with a Dutch background is doing brilliantly at PSV, where he is a regular and performs well. However, there is no indication that Xavi wants Dest back, so here it looks like a profitable sale.

Alex Valle – Levante:
Valle was deemed too good for the second team Barca Atlétic, while Xavi could not use him in the first team. The result was a loan agreement with Levante from the second best tier and here Alex Valle is doing well. Here, a sale this summer can bring in a nice sum.

Chad Riad – Betis:
The defender from Barca Atlétic had a slightly hesitant start at Betis, but he has taken part in quite a few matches recently, so the form curve is increasing. The plan is to sell Riad this summer and if he continues the good development, Barca can make some money on the Spaniard by selling him this summer.
