It is often seen that the clubs agree on a so-called “fear clause” when you rent out a player and Girona coach Michel tells before the match against Barca that Pablo Torre cannot play on Sunday, while Eric García has no clause.
Although the match against Girona will not be played until Sunday evening, the match is already attracting a lot of attention in Catalonia, where it is a decidedly top match between the only two Catalan clubs in La Liga. In addition, there is an extra exciting element, as Barca have both Pablo Torre and Eric García on loan to Girona, which Michel, who is at the head of the season’s surprise, was asked to deal with yesterday.
“Eric García has no fear clauses built into his contract, so he can easily play on Sunday against Barca,” began the Girona coach to radio station Cadena SER.
“Pablo Torre is not allowed to play against Barca and it was actually a clause that we asked them to put in the contract”, revealed Michel, before adding further words to the young midfield talent’s situation at the club, who has not seen much playing time until continue.
“Pablo came to the club with high expectations from Barca, but he didn’t get much playing time at the beginning. My three midfielders, Aleix, Yangel and Iván, are all doing really well and they have a big part in us being at the top of the league at the moment. However, I regularly say to Pablo – You are doing well in training, keep it up. You may not get what you deserve right now, but it will come. That is our message to him as the situation is the moment”.
Pablo Torre has only played 201 minutes for Girona over 10 games, while Eric García, on the other hand, is getting plenty of playing time and has accumulated 919 minutes in 12 games so far. With the Girona coach’s statements, it also sounds like García is to be found in the starting line-up on Sunday evening, while Pablo Torre has to sit out because of the so-called “fear clause”.
The match will be played on Sunday at 21.00 (9PM)
