Along with the rest of Girona, Brazilian Savinho is doing really well. The just 19-year-old winger is a topic at Barca, but as Girona is part of the ownership City Group, Manchester City is expected to block that plan.
Savinho is on loan to Girona from French side Troyes, which is also part of the ownership City Group, which owns a number of football clubs. The top of that club hierarchy is of course English Manchester City, and they are now discussing the purchase of Girona’s Savinho internally in the food chain.
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City is considering signing Savinho after the season. It will remove all interest from other clubs who simply don’t want a chance.
Barca see Brazilian Savinho as a highly interesting player, but Manchester City’s joint ownership gives the Premier League champions the opportunity to reject interest from other big clubs. In this case, it will very well mean instead that the English buy Savinho themselves and implement him in the team, after a big breakthrough season in La Liga.
