On Tuesday, Pedri participated in an interview with Spanish esports commentator and streamer, Ibai, on his Twitch channel. The 21-year-old midfield profile spoke about his current situation marked by injuries and what signing he would dream of for Barca.
Pedri suffered a muscle injury in training a few weeks ago and is expected to be ready again for the Super Cup on January 11 against Osasuna. However, Pedri’s injury history is causing concern in Barca, but the canary is positive.
“Everyone says that when you have the first injury, the injuries will start in a vicious circle, but I am working hard both physically and mentally so that it does not happen again” stated Pedri confidently.
He also spoke about Vítor Roque’s arrival at Barca and his qualities both on and off the pitch. “Vítor Roque is a guy who always smiles. Brazilians always have that magical energy around them. He’s a very young player and you can’t already ask him to be the new Pelé, but he’s a skilled player with a lot confidence,” the midfielder continued.
Pedri also focused on further reinforcements for the offensive when he was asked about the ideal transfer for the Catalans. “For Barca, I would sign Haaland. He is scoring goals on an assembly line. Lewandowski will unfortunately not be here until he is 60 years old. Julián Álvarez is also an enormously talented player” concluded Pedri, who will hopefully soon be found within the chalk lines again.
